The Art Equals Hive is a free, community-powered space that values creativity and connection.

We are proud to be included as part of the international network of Art Hives, all of which serve as third spaces to foster community, inclusivity, and creativity. We welcome participants of every age, ability, and background to engage with creative play, work on your own project, explore with our studio supplies, or learn from other artists.  We believe that creating together empowers us to make meaningful change in ourselves and our communities.

Green Art Hive (Nov)

Go Au Naturel! The Green Art Hive focuses on connecting with the natural world. Whether you paint landscapes, plant fairy gardens, or create with natural materials, we support your earthy explorations. We also support sustainable art practices, both using materials and making creations that are Earth-friendly.

Featured Project for this Month: Gathering Baskets

Create a beautiful little basket for gathering all those things your grateful for this season. Learn a simple coil method to create the baskets and explore using natural materials like twigs and feathers, along with other materials from the studio like paper and ribbons. Bring some cool stuff to share and create some truly awesome community creations!

All types of creative projects are welcome at each of our Art Hives! Always feel free to bring something you’re working on, or use the materials in our studio to make something new. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to accommodate your creative journey.
