Come All, Create!

We believe everyone has the spark of creativity just waiting to ignite! But, maybe you don’t feel artistic? Even great artists don’t feel “artistic” from time to time. So create because it is good for your brain, or your heart, or just because YOU WANT TO! When you sign up for one of the events below, know that we’re here to support you! Contact us and let us know how we can make your experience more accessible or inclusive at info@art-equals.org

Creative Supply Swap

Creative Supply Swap

Got some gently used or new supplies that just don't get your creative juices flowing anymore? Come swap them for something else. Or just come and find that new item that will inspire you to get creating again.

How it works:

  • Get your spring cleaning on and gather up those supplies that don’t bring you joy. Make sure everything is clean, in good condition, and free of pet hair. You can also include those UFOs (Un Finished Objects) that may inspire someone else. Or offer up some of your old creations to make room for new ones.

  • If you’ve got a lot to give to the swap, bring your items to the Art Equals studio during regular business hours the week before the event or make an appointment to drop them off. We will sort them and have everything ready to go the day of the event. If you just have a few items, you can come at 11:30 on the day of the event and sort your own items.

  • Bring a bag or box and show up on March 24th and be ready to browse all the creative goodies. Items will be sorted into general categories such as paper, fabric, color, tools, etc. to make it easier to find what your looking for. Any remaining items at the end of the day will be donated or recycled.

  • plan to stick around and have a snack, show off your new finds, and sit and create!

This event seeks to spread creative resources in our community, ensuring everyone can create! We also get to give the earth a hug by keeping unwanted items out of the landfills, so come join the fun.
