Art Equals Hive: Summer 2023

When I have the time, I’ll work on that project. If I have the money, I’ll get back to that piece / poem / idea. I’m just too busy with the kids / the job / the school to be creative.

Does that sound familiar to you?

You’re not alone.

So many of us feel like we experience barriers to connecting to our creative selves, and often, we feel like we’re in it alone.

The Art Equals Hive was imagined as a free, community-powered space that values creativity and connection. We want to provide an opportunity to remove those barriers and invite everyone, regardless of their age or experience, to create.

We welcome participants of every age, ability, and background to engage with creative play, work on your own project, explore with our supplies, or learn from other artists.  We believe that creating together empowers us to make meaningful change in ourselves and our communities.

This summer, Art Equals is taking the Hive out into the community. Stay on the lookout for opportunities to turn life’s lemons into something sweet. We’ll be out and about ready to meet you where you are with the tools and support to help you create!
