Open Hearts for Little Amal

  • Hellmann Creative Center 321 W.MLK Blvd. (map)

Hear the true stories of refugees living in our community and create art for a giant puppet! Join us along with a panel of voices from Kentucky Refugee Ministries to hear the experiences of refugees coming to our area. Afterwards you are invited to respond by creating an “open Heart” moving creation to be used during the parade for LIttle Amal, a 12 foot giant puppet walking across American cities to bring awareness to refugee stories. We are delighted to be welcoming her as she walks across the Roebling Bridge on September 22nd and heads to the National Underground Railroad Museum in Cincinnati. To register and learn more about Little Amal go to ccocincinnati.org/hope.
