Indigo Dye Party

We said farewell to summer with our final Indigo Dye Party of the year at Redden Gardens! If you’ve never seen this dye in person, it is a magical experience! This greenish dye turns beautiful blue when it hits the air when pulled from the dye bucket! All you need is some fabric and some gloves. Turned thrift shop treasures beautiful blue. Really anything that is 100% natural materials like cotton, linen, wool or silk. Just need some dye and resist materials along with inspiration. We also did shibori, a Japanese style of resist dyeing, or come up with your own tie dye creations.
